Senior Color, Material, and Finish Engineer


The Role:

We are currently looking for a Senior Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) Engineer with a strong physics background to lead our efforts in creating visually stunning and performance-driven products in Hsinchu, Taiwan.

Your contribution:

As a Senior CMF Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetic and functional aspects of our products. Your deep understanding of physics will enable you to develop innovative solutions that enhance the visual appeal, durability, and performance of our products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and manufacturing, to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.

In this role you will:

  • Implement & conduct innovation ideas for Logitech, lead and/or support CMF technology projects to enable products and our customer diversity, inclusivity, sustainability and customization

  • Partner with product marketing/ID/ME/CMF design, perform CMF engineering design of new products: DFM, GD&T, SPC, DOE, perform materials selection, trial and qualification, painting / printing / plating and other CMF process trials, troubleshooting on-site, support product projects

  • Manage / partner with molding and CMF related suppliers to ensure smooth CMF process ramp-up and MP for NPI

  • Provide CMF consulting, training and support to Hsinchu site (ME, QA, Commodity, PMs...)

  • Support on-going supplier audit for new tech, cost-down on existing tech...

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following skills and behaviors to our team:

  • Technical competence

    • Ability to apply physics principles to solve challenges.

    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

    • Creative Engineering design in the early phase of product concept with design, marketing,
      operation and other engineers. Synthesize and present data and ideas logically.

    • Keeper of the engineering design quality to enable CMF process capability in trials and MP,
      solving problems systematically throughout define, approve, develop, qualify new CMF.

    • Strong organizational and project management skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Personal competence

    • Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing), Chinese a plus

    • Good communication skills as the CMF consultant, CMF technical influencer

    • Attention to details and flexible in a fast-moving environment

    • Being able to work efficiently in a global, multi-cultural team

    • Willing to travel

  • Education

    • Master's or above degree in Physics, Data Science Engineering,Photonics Engineering,
      Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience (minimum)

    • 5 years working experiences as Engineering with Physics background in electronics or related
      industries

    • Proven track record of developing and implementing innovative solutions.

    • 3 years experience working as a project engineer
